How to Use the Records

Each volume includes a numerical list of registrations (recording registration number, name of surveyor, date of registration and page number). An alphebtical list is also located in the front of each register.

Function / Content

This series consists of registers that record the registration of surveyors in the Northern Territory. The registers record the name, date of declaration, and date of registration. Later volumes include address and date of birth. Appointments, resignations, transfers, and fees paid are also recorded. The first registration for WR Easton is dated 8 October 1927. The function was transferred from the Department of Lands, Planning and Environment to the Department of Business on 12 December 2014.
